Kim Kardashian reveals that one of her children with Kanye West has Michael Jackson disease

Kim Kardashian, 43, has revealed that one of her children with Kanye West, 47, has vitiligo, a condition characterized by the loss of skin color. One of the most famous sufferers of the disorder was singer Michael Jackson (1958-2009).

The information was given by the socialite during her participation in the podcast She MD, hosted by Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney. She was accompanied by her rheumatologist, Dan Wallace, and touched on the subject when talking about her experience with psoriasis.

“It came from my mother and it went to me. And, you know, I passed it on in a different way to my son, who has vitiligo,” he said. “Very lightly,” he added.

Kim said she has been interested in learning more about the condition. “I didn’t know anything about it, but having to learn about it and find out where it comes from and [como] this is hereditary… Just learn more and be able to share this with people [tem sido bom]”, he said.

She did not specify which of her children has the disease. The socialite is mother to boys Saint, 8, and Psalm, 5. She also has girls North West, 11, and Chicago, 6.

Vitiligo is a disease whose main characteristic is hypopigmentation of the skin (which causes white spots of varying sizes on the body). The condition is not contagious and does not cause any other physical damage.

Although there is no established cause, it is believed to have an autoimmune origin. It is also believed that emotional trauma may be among the factors that trigger or aggravate it.
