Refreshment: A polyphonic composition between myth and reality of Argyros Chiotis in Piraeus 260
A special place on the border between myth and reality, inhabited by daydreams and ghosts, invites us to discover the polyphonic composition “Refreshment” created by Argyro Chioti for the Athens Epidaurus Festival, with a mixed group of performers, consisting of actors, dancers and singers . Metaphysical stories and legends inspire a narrative that claims a return to myth. An existential place of re-soul is created on stage. A place where souls gather to quench their thirst, among apparitions and spirits of nature, wondering about the relationship between the individual and the collective.

Bless This Mess: Award-winning choreographer Katerina Andreou at Piraeus 260, with her first group project
Awarded with the European Prix Jardin d’Europe 2016, with a significant career on the European dance scene but loyal fans in Greece as well, the international Greek choreographer, dancer and musician Katerina Andreou returns to the Athens Epidaurus Festival with Bless this Mess, her first group project. Bless This Mess expresses a dynamic and irrepressible desire to move with others. To find a stability of position, a voice that gives courage and energy, a sense of collectiveness against chaos and isolation. The work leaves room for play that makes moments of relief and joy emerge. Katerina Andreou claims a space of resistance, questioning whether confusion, what she calls “continuous noise”, a mental and emotional state that reflects the universal sense of instability and restlessness of the modern person, can be turned into a creative tool.
They play: Katerina Andreou, Baptiste Cazaux, Melissa Guex, Lily Brieu Nguyen.
Representations: From July 23 to July 25, 2024. Tuesday and Wednesday at 21:00 and Thursday at 20:00
