Rita Ora is originally from Kosovo. She was born there, but her family left the country in ’91, when Ora was just one year old, and settled in West London. In fact, the family added “Ora” to the original surname (Sahatçiu) so that the British could pronounce it more easily.

Her father opened a pub in London and there she started singing at some open mic nights. However, her artistic career began with acting and some small roles in British series and films, while in the music industry she began to be known since 2007.
