After saying his daughter “died” after gender transition, billionaire CEO of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) Elon Musk, 53, now has to deal with revelations made by his heiress, Vivian Jenna Wilson, 20.
In an interview with NBC News, she said that her father had never been more present throughout her life. “I think he was under the assumption that I wouldn’t say anything and let it go unchallenged,” she began.
The two haven’t spoken in four years. During their childhood, she said, “he was there, I would say, maybe 10 percent of the time.” “He had half custody and he wasn’t there all the time. It was just a fact of life at the time, so I don’t think I realized how abnormal that experience was,” said Vivian, who transitioned during the Covid pandemic. In 2022, when she turned 18, she got her new ID and stopped calling herself Xavier.
The young woman also told the publication that she came out as gay for the first time in the eighth grade and that Musk “knew all the side effects” of her medical treatment, which involved puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy. Therefore, she found her father’s attitude strange, who said he was surprised and had been deceived when signing documents authorizing the procedure.
“This whole thing is completely made up and there’s a reason for it. He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he simply wasn’t there, and in the short time he was there I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity,” Vivian added.
