The bronze bikini style outfit worn by Carrie Fisher in “Star Wars” sold at auction for over £130,000.

The outfit, which was sold with its original rings and bracelets, was worn by Princess Leia played by Carrie Fisher when she was captured by the slug-like monster Jabba the Hutt and chained to his throne in 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return Of The Jedi.

The costume from the sci-fi movie series created by “Star Wars” sculptor Richard Miller sold for $175,000 (£136,129) at a Heritage Auctions auction in Dallas, Texas last week. It is made from pieces of resin and urethane from the sculptor’s collection. The costume has been called “one of the most memorable costumes in film history” by Heritage Auctions.
