Actress Joey King, 22, known for her roles in “Barraca do Beijo” and “The Act”, announced this Tuesday (1st) that she is engaged to her boyfriend, producer and director Steven Piet, 30. The couple is together two and a half years ago, and the proposal was made on February 2, according to the actress herself.
“I never knew that happiness could be so powerful as to take the air out of your lungs,” said the actress in the caption of a collection of photos with her fiance, on her Instagram profile.
“I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a true home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you.”
Piet also posted pictures of the engagement moment, writing, “The weather wasn’t perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands. on silent taxi rides home, exhausted from good food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter.”
Before Piet, King dated his “Barraca do Beijo” co-star Jacob Elordi for about a year. They split in 2018, and in 2019 King met her current fiancé.
