Globo began to reveal on Thursday night (8) the names of the 14 participants of the first season of the musical reality show Estrela da Casa, which will premiere on the 13th, hosted by presenter Ana Clara Lima.
Meet the participants of Estrela da Casa
-
MC Mayarah (funk)
-
Rodrigo Garcia (forró and piseiro)
-
Heloisa Araujo (country singer)
-
Ramalho (rap)
The first confirmed cast members of the reality show were announced during the break in “Família É Tudo” (Globo). The first was MC Mayarah, 29, from Rio de Janeiro. Since she was a child, she has worked to help her family, and is currently a street vendor. The funk singer usually performs at dances, and when she’s around people, she promises to “speak to their faces”.
Next, it was the turn of the waiter from Manaus (AM) Rodrigo Garcia, 24, a fan of forró and piseiro. He has worked as a bricklayer’s assistant, painter, carpenter and even in a restaurant in São Paulo, but music always spoke louder.
Heloísa Araújo, 23, from Alagoas, is an artisan, singer and composer. She lives in the Kariri-Xocó village, in Porto Real do Colégio, Alagoas, and is the daughter of a white father and an indigenous mother. The rhythm she will play at home will be romantic sertanejo.
Next, we meet Ramalho, 23, a rapper born and raised in Jacareí (SP). He discovered his calling during his adolescence, in rhyme battles during school recess. “I’m unique and original. Whatever I have to say, I won’t stay quiet.”
PROGRAM DYNAMICS
According to videos posted on Globo’s social media, on Fridays, two nominees will compete in a duel, and the public will save one. Whoever is not saved will go straight to the Battle phase. On Sunday, a vote will form a sort of Paredão. Fans will vote to keep someone, and the one with the fewest votes will be eliminated.
On Tuesdays, three more contestants will perform for the public to try to save themselves from the hot seat. Every Wednesday, each contestant chooses a song to work on during the week. On Sunday, whoever has the most listened to single in Brazil will be entitled to perform at a festival at the house.
On Thursdays, music experts will enter the mansion and give them workshops, as well as a challenge. The winner will be the Star of the Week, will perform for the whole of Brazil and will gain immunity.
On Saturdays, there will be a “reality show” test that will give the winner, called Dono do Palco, the chance to become immune and also nominate someone else for the Battle.
The show will have a priceless prize for its winner. In addition to R$500,000, a record deal and artistic management, the winner will also have his or her song featured on the 9pm soap opera, the highest-rated segment on Brazilian TV.
MUSIC BY MARÍLIA MENDONÇA
The new reality show, which premieres next Tuesday (13), will feature an unreleased song by Marília Mendonça (1995-2021) that will be released during the program.
The announcement was made by JB de Oliveira, known as Boninho, during the show’s launch event at Estúdios Globo this Thursday (8). The song is a composition by one of the participants with the country singer, who was the victim of a plane crash in November 2021.

Estrela da Casa has already signed all of its sponsors. There are 13 in total: Mercado Pago, L’Oréal, Budweiser, Perdigão, Mercado Livre, EstrelaBet, Comfort, Dove, Brilhante, Hellmann’s and Midea, Kwai and Ballantine’s.
Each of the main sponsors paid out R$45.9 million, which together amounts to R$229.5 million. Taking into account all sales made so far, Globo has guaranteed R$308.7 million with the program, which already yields a profit.
The attraction will be shown on TV Globo, with spin-offs on Multishow, and confinement broadcast 24 hours a day on Globoplay.
