After more than 24 hours a manhunt, the Volos authorities were able to locate and arrest the 40 -year -old who murdered his wife in front of the eyes of their four underage children.

The 40 -year -old who murdered his 36 -year -old wife was hiding for 30 hours in bushes, on a plot just 200 meters from his family’s home on Constanta Street in Volos.

He was arrested without resisting. However, as soon as the police were handcuffed, he said: “He was cheating on me. What should I do exactly? “

The perpetrator seems to be incomprehensible and argues that for this reason he killed his wife.

Officers are looking for the sharp object with which they managed two hits, one on the neck and one on the back, of the victim, but unfortunately they have found nothing until this time.

The 40 -year -old seems to have managed for a few hours to “hide his traces” from the authorities, reaching the plot hiding from a particular route. The police followed, with the help of the videos, his movements and eventually found him.

Indicatively, at some point, the cameras did not show him, which led the police to focus their investigation close to the home of the woman’s brutal assassination.

At the same time, this morning, a resident of the area phoned the authorities and informed that a man who is probably holding a knife was moving inside the plot.

So the arrest operation was set up at four early in the afternoon.

According to a statement issued by the Greek Police on the case, the 40-year-old had no domestic violence past, but has been accused in the past, including involvement in a criminal organization, as well as violations of drug law, while on 28-06-2025, he had been transferred to a public prosecution.
