Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter, Suri Noelle, is no longer receiving her famous father’s annual pension. The young woman turned 18 in April and, under American law, she no longer receives the right to receive it. The Hollywood star, who was one of the attractions at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, must continue to pay the young woman’s tuition at the college of dramatic arts.
According to the Daily Mail, Cruise paid an annual pension of exactly US$400,000, something around R$2.2 million, an amount that was provided for in his divorce from Katie Holmes in 2012. The two got married in 2006. At the time, it was speculated that one of the main reasons for the end of the marriage was Scientology, the religion of the protagonist of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
Better known as Suri Cruise, the young woman now signs as Suri Noelle in honor of her mother. Noelle is Katie Holmes’ middle name, and the drama student used this name in a musical production of “The Addams Family”, when she played Morticia.
Suri and Tom have a distant and cold relationship. According to the American press, the actor has not spoken to his daughter since 2012, when he separated from Katie. The decision to cut ties was apparently his own.
