The stars of the Netflix series Emily in Paris went to Italy for the filming of the second part of the fourth season.

Lily Collins, the actress who plays Emily, described filming in Italy as a “holiday” for the show’s cast.

“Staying in Rome was so impressive, it was the most special way for us to end the season because it felt like we went on holiday with the crew. The culture there is so warm and welcoming, the streets have such great history and the food is so amazing,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter.

“It was amazing to go from Paris to Rome because we stayed in Europe and you can still feel the romance and the passion of Europe, but you get to experience a different part of history which was a lot of fun.”

Series creator Darren Star said of filming in Italy:

“It’s like the sun came out fresh in Rome when we got there. It was a completely different experience, it was like starting something new. It revitalized us all.”
