Silvio Santos’ nephew posts photo of tombstone after presenter’s burial: ‘My dear uncle’

After Silvio Santos’ private funeral this Sunday (18), which was attended only by family and close friends, a nephew of the presenter published a photo of his grave on Instagram.

Maurício Abravanel, who works in the family business, deactivated his profile on the social network after the publication.

The presenter’s body was buried in the Jewish Cemetery of Butantã, in the western part of São Paulo. It is not possible to say whether the tombstone in the photo is Silvio Santos’ or not. The tomb is simple and low, like all the others in the area, and it is not possible to read the inscriptions in the photo.

Silvio’s relative also wrote a text paying tribute to the presenter. “Today, with a heavy heart, I say goodbye to my dear uncle, Silvio Santos. I am eternally grateful for all the opportunities he gave me, not only as a nephew, but also as a professional,” wrote Maurício.

“His deep friendship with my father, Léo Santos, was always an example of loyalty and love, and now I know that the two are together in heaven. His absence will be felt in every corner of our family and in every Brazilian home. Silvio not only revolutionized television, but also touched millions of lives with his joy and humanity. The sadness of his departure will be eternal and his legacy will be immortal,” the relative added.
