In the video, she says that “food rape” is characterized when the person who loves you the most forces you to “shove down your throat what you said no”. The comparison between rape and food did not go down well and there was a lot of criticism.

At the end of the video, Maíra indicates her course which, according to her, has already been responsible for losing weight over 500,000 people, including artists like Anitta.
However, after a flurry of criticism and the term ending up in the most talked about topics on Twitter, Cardi returned to Instagram to counter the nasty comments and better explain what she meant. She claims excerpts were cut out and “taken completely out of context”.
“When people decide to go on a diet, whether for health or aesthetics, they are on the edge of pain, suffering. Why does the person who loves you want to make you eat what he wants?”, she began.
“That’s what women do, they eat to please and then they come home and cry for hurting her commitment to herself. And then I call it ‘food rape'”, he amended.
In the opinion of the influencer, when a person does not want to enjoy the pleasure of eating, it becomes a “limit abuse and within this context I used the term ‘food rape'”, she pointed out.
Finally, Maíra was more direct to critics who claimed that she would only be willing to sell her weight loss course. “I started my company with R$ 800 and I make millions a month. If I make millions, if I study hard, if I got where I am, I’m not stupid. I know very well what I’m doing” , finished.
