She spoke about the years she lived and worked in France Mariella Savvidou. The actress, who is also an excellent singer, gave an interview to Sozi, which is in circulation, among other things, and revealed her desire to work again with George Kapoutzidis but also perhaps the series “Ethniki Hellados” which was never completed was continued.

-Are the conditions in France for an actor, especially when experiencing a difficult situation, different than in Greece?

In France, where I have lived and worked for several years, there is always a replacement in a job, it is not like in Greece, where there is no one to replace you in a show. What is happening here is not humane, that is why there are substitutes abroad. We are human and fortunately or unfortunately bad things can happen to all of us, so there has to be a backup plan».

-Did something bad happen to you and you had to work at the same time?

Thank God no, but it has happened to other colleagues of mine. It has happened that my colleague breaks his leg during a performance and tries to continue. It was the most surreal thing I’ve ever experienced. Or I’ve happened to be sick with gastroenteritis and perform normally. I wanted to throw up and run to the dressing room»

-You have saved money from this job, because I imagine the pay is better in France

Yes, the money in France is better and the conditions are different. There are agents, you work very differently, in another context. Also when you are not working and belong to the television or theater industry, the French state makes sure you get some money. This regime exists because they protect the arts and artists».

-Have you ever thought of staying permanently in France?

I had thought of staying permanently in France and Greece came into my life completely unexpectedly. If it wasn’t for the series “National Greece” by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, I wouldn’t have come to Greece».

– Will we see you again together with Giorgos Kapoutzidis?

I hope you see us together again (laughs)».

– We are left with the complaint that we did not see the “National Greece” being completed.

And the same for us… We would very much like “Ethniki Hellados” to continue at some point, it was a series that was very loved and we bonded with the girls. Even though so much time has passed, we still feel close».

-Have you been through difficult partnerships?

Thank God, I really haven’t had a hard time working together and that’s very important. I know that other colleagues have had a very difficult time. It’s a matter of luck».
