‘Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story’ Official Trailer
Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for the documentary ‘Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story’, which chronicles the shocking life and work of the legendary actor identified with the role of Superman, Christopher Reeve (Christopher Reeve Reeve).
The direction is signed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui who “launch to new heights” the touching story of the late actor whose life changed in “an instant”.
It is noted that in May 1995, during a match in which he participated, his horse threw him, causing him to land on his head and become a quadriplegic at the age of 42.
Through first-ever family footage and new interviews with his children and actors who knew him, the epic documentary chronicles Reeve’s work in the immediate aftermath of the accident that inspired thousands of his fans, according to Variety.
He was an activist and champion of spinal cord injury research, establishing the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. He died in 2004 of heart failure.
A key figure in the documentary is the late Robin Williams, with whom they became close friends in 1973, when they studied together at the Juilliard School in New York.
“A hero,” according to Reeve, “is an ordinary man who finds the strength to persevere and endure despite overwhelming odds.”
Super/Man opens in US theaters on September 21st, with additional screenings on the late actor’s birthday on September 25th.
