Mariah Carey reportedly had no contact with her older sister in the last month of her life, despite learning she was going to die.

Alison Carey’s close friend David Baker told the US Sun that the superstar “never tried to contact” her, even after being told about her condition a month ago.

“A phone call or, even better, a video call would mean so much to Alison. But it never happened,” he said.

According to Baker, she was “in home care for the last three weeks of her life” and was unhappy that her “little sister” had cut off contact with her.

“He talked about it often. He wondered if Mariah or any of her relatives would come to her funeral. I’m told a memorial service is planned at a future date, but nothing at this time. The unrelenting rejection added more pain to Alison,” he stressed.

In her 2020 memoir, the famous singer said of her sister that it was “emotionally and physically safer for me to have no contact,” prompting Alison to sue her for defamation.

Baker described his girlfriend as “an extremely intelligent, warm and sensitive person.”

“I knew her for nine years and I will miss her very much,” he concluded.
