Armie Hammer announces sale of truck: ‘I can’t afford gas’

Armie Hammer, 38, has announced that he is facing financial problems after accusations of cannibalism and sexual abuse made against him by his ex-partners. The American actor even put his truck up for sale because he could no longer afford the cost of gasoline. “I bought this car as a Christmas present in 2017. Since I returned to Los Angeles, I have spent about $400 or $500 (almost R$3,000) on gas and I can’t afford it anymore.”

Hammer, who starred in the films “The Social Network” (2010) and “Call Me By Your Name” (2017), he said he has already bought a new, smaller, hybrid vehicle. He regretted having to part with it and used the savings as justification. “I’ll probably put $10 (about R$55) on gas a month. It’s okay, I keep telling myself it’ll be easier to park and that gas will be cheaper.”

Accused of sexual abuse and cannibalism fantasies in 2021, Hammer was on an upward trajectory in Hollywood when his career began to fall apart after allegations of abuse. He lost several jobs and the case even gained a documentary “House of Hammer: Family Secrets” originally produced by Discovery+.

The first of these was published on Instagram in 2021 by an anonymous profile that presented itself as that of an ex-girlfriend. She said that the actor had sent explicit texts about cannibalism, rape fantasies and the desire to drink her blood during their four-year relationship.

In January, ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich reported that he had fantasies involving cannibalism. Soon after, influencer Paige Lorenze also accused Hammer of being violent.

In a recent interview with British journalist Piers Morgan’s YouTube show, the artist was asked directly if he was a cannibal. The actor replied: “Do you know what it takes to be a cannibal? You have to have actually eaten someone,” he said, reinforcing that he has never eaten other humans. He said that the allegations arose after consensual acts and sexual play.
