The Civil Police conclude that the death of singer Nahim, on June 13, at his residence in Taboão da Serra, was accidental. The singer died due to drug use associated with the fall he suffered down the stairs inside his home, according to the police station that investigated the case.
The information comes from G1, which also released the report from the IML (Legal Medical Institute). According to the portal, Nahim suffered cocaine poisoning and head trauma, which may have been caused by loss of consciousness or even sudden death due to the drug.
Investigations into the singer’s death remain under judicial secrecy, at the request of his ex-wife, Andreia de Andrade.
At the time of death, the Civil Police informed the Sheet that the death had been registered as suspicious and was being investigated at the 1st DP of Taboão da Serra. “Military police were called to respond to the incident and, at the scene, found that the victim was alone at home when she fell down the stairs of the residence,” the statement said.
According to G1, security cameras at the singer’s residence were checked by police, but no revealing images were found.
Witnesses interviewed at the police station confirmed that the singer used cocaine “sporadically or recreationally”, the website also says.
Nahim Jorge Elias Júnior became famous in the 1980s, when he won over the public on talk shows and won the “Qual é a Música?” segment on the now-defunct Programa Silvio Santos. In 1984, Nahim was a judge on Cassino do Chacrinha, on TV Globo.
