YouTuber and influencer Antonia Fontenelle was sentenced to three years and three months in semi-open prison for exposing actress Klara Castanho’s pregnancy. The information was obtained by Daniel Nascimento, a columnist for the newspaper O Dia.

Influencer Adriana Kappaz, known as Dri Paz, was also convicted in the same case, but with a lesser sentence: one year and six months in an open regime. According to UOL, she will have to provide community service and pay the actress ten minimum wages.

Fontenelle was not granted the benefit of an open regime because she had other “criminal records for crimes against honor”, according to the newspaper O Dia. The judge also cited the YouTuber’s character deviation.

The sentence outlines the history of the case, which took place in 2022. Castanho claims that she was forced to publicly reveal that she was the victim of rape after the influencers and journalist Leo Dias revealed her pregnancy and subsequent adoption of the baby.

The actress had previously defeated Fontenelle in court. In 2023, a decision by Judge Flávia Viveiro de Castro, of the 2nd Civil Court of Barra, determined that the actress would be awarded R$50,000 in compensation for moral damages.

In August of this year, Dri Paz was also sentenced in the first instance to pay R$70.6 thousand to Castanho for having exposed her in a moment of vulnerability.

The influencers can appeal the conviction, and have not yet made a public statement.
