Adele announces career hiatus (again)

by

Singer Adele, 36, announced this Saturday (31) that she will take a break from her career. She made the revelation during a show in Munich, Germany. “I still have 10 shows to do, but after that, we won’t see each other for a long time. I will keep you with great affection in my heart.”

Everything indicates that the British artist has been developing the idea for some time, since last year she made the same statement, and gave the search for tranquility as her motivation. “I’m going to take a break and you really won’t hear from me. Because you know what I am: I’m an absolute recluse,” she said in 2023.

In July of this year, the singer stated in an interview that she has no plans to release a new album. She lacks inspiration. “My ‘tank’ is completely empty right now.” Her latest album is “30”, released in 2021.

Despite being one of the world’s most successful music artists, Adele has said she misses life before fame. “I miss everything before I was famous, but probably the anonymity is what I miss the most.”

“I don’t really leave the house and that’s by choice,” she said. “My life used to be huge when I was younger. But the bigger my career gets, the more scared and anxious I get.” The singer’s schedule includes a series of shows in Las Vegas, in the US, between October 25 and November 23, when, if what she has announced is true, it will be her last performance before her retirement from the stage.
