The first post since the death of her mother – the day she arrived in Venice for the Film Festival – Nicole Kidman (Nicole Kidman) made today.

“My sister and I, along with our family, want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we’ve felt this week,” wrote the famous actress, accompanying the post with family photos, along with her mother.

“Every message we received from those who loved and admired our mother meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. On behalf of the entire family, thank you for respecting our privacy as we look after each other,” the Aussie star said.

At the Venice Film Festival, Kidman won Best Actress for “Babygirl,” a coming-of-age romance thriller, but was absent from the ceremony.

Instead, the director of the film read a message from the 57-year-old actress on stage: “I learned shortly after my arrival in Venice of the death of my mother Janelle Kidman. I am in shock and need to be with my family. This award is for her.”
