Influencer Jojo Todynho has declared her vote for mayor of Rio de Janeiro. She will vote for Alexandre Ramagem, from the PL, a candidate supported by former president Jair Bolsonaro.
The statement was made this Saturday (14) in a video shared by her on her social media. This is my mayor”, declared Todynho alongside Ramagem.
The footage was taken at an event at PL Mulher, which was attended by Michelle Bolsonaro, wife of former president Jair Bolsonaro. Jojo went to the location and posed with her.
The incident angered members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Upset by the criticism, Jojo said she would remove her songs from digital platforms, such as “Arrasou, Viado!”, which she made in homage to gays.
Jojo Todynho also went to the location to support the candidate for city councilor in Rio, Dr. João Branco (PL). The singer is the voice of the civil police officer’s campaign jingle and participates in campaign events.
João Branco is married to Renata Pigliasco, Todynho’s manager. The singer calls the couple “father” and “mother”.
“Moments like this reinforce the importance of dialogue and unity in favor of a fairer and more prosperous future for all,” wrote João Branco in gratitude to her.
