Former paquita criticizes documentary and provokes former colleagues: ‘Let’s stop hypocrisy’

Former paquita Gisele Delaia shared her opinion on social media about the new documentary about Xuxa’s stage assistants, Pra Sempre Paquitas. The Globoplay production has been commented on by the public and, especially, by the characters portrayed, who do not share a generalized view of that time.

On social media, Gisele posted a series of stories in which she said she was no longer interested in answering questions about the documentary and that the production had not brought her any benefits. “Enough, people, let’s live. You are not gaining anything from this.”

“Everyone already knows why this doc was made, let’s stop the hypocrisy. At least I already knew and I still agreed to do it. My life won’t change because of this doc, neither emotionally nor financially,” continued Gisele.

However, she said that there are some former participants who are taking advantage of the production’s success: “Are there a lot of people surfing on the success of this doc? Oh, there are!”. “You can shine, little star. Today I want to shine alone in the peace and quiet of my Canadian life,” she teased, who now lives in Canada with her husband and two children.

The former paquita said that the documentary had a passionate bias, which she had already expected. “Things were going to be taken in this direction, it was more than expected. The only ones who didn’t realize it were the very innocent ones. I repeat: I knew that the final product would be this, I participated because I wanted to, I wasn’t going to leave my generation more erased than it already has been by this whole system”, she criticized.

Gisele also said that she deserved more space in the documentary and that her generation of paquitas is discriminated against: “To those who say that only the Xou generation are Paquitas, fuck you, you repressed person. I was there and you weren’t. To the fans of NG [New Generation ou Nova Geração]it’s us, we’re together”.
