It is true that only Madonna could stop on the afternoon of Saturday, September 21, 2024, the traffic in Milan, to be present at the Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Week show.

The crowd that besieged Viale Piave, in Milan, gathered in front of the former Metropol cinema to catch a glimpse of Madonna. And the welcome was – literally – unbelievable, even inside the hall. As soon as the “Queen of Pop” entered, everyone stood up to give her a standing ovation.

A longtime friend of designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and brand ambassador since the early 1990s, Madonna she appeared wearing a black lace veil, from the brand’s latest collection, and wore a gold crown over her veil. She was seen chatting with those next to her in the front row before the show began.

The show, called ‘Italian Beauty’, was a tribute to Madonna’s 1990 ‘Blonde Ambition’ tour wardrobe, which was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. It was not the first time that Dolce & Gabbana dedicated a collection to Madonna. In 2000 they presented their Spring/Summer 2001 collection entitled ‘Madonna, Gli Anni Ottanta’, preceded by the costumes they designed for ‘The Girlie Show’ tour in 1992.
