With the completion of the remaining four matches, the 5th matchday in the Stoiximan Super League continues and, of course, ends.
After the defeat of Olympiakos by Aris in Thessaloniki and the victory of PAOK in Volos, it is interesting to see what Panathinaikos will do when they welcome Panserraikos behind closed doors at the Olympiakos Stadium and AEK who play at Leoforo against Athens Kallithea.
Malista, the “clover” and the “union” will face each other next game in New Philadelphia.
After all, the “greens” will make their European debut, in the Conference League, next week (3/10), so they won’t have their European obligations on their minds, but they want to put in a good performance to raise the stakes ahead of demanding continuity.
Levadeakos-OFI
The history of the two teams’ rivalry dates back to the 1967-68 season when they met for the Second Division Championship, but it took several decades for them to meet at National A/Super League level.
Their first match took place against Levadeiakos at home on November 29, 1987 and ended in a 1-1 draw (62′ Kavouras – 87′ Athanasiadis). Levadeiakos kept their home unbeaten streak in the next four games (three wins – one draw) to see OFI leave Viotia victorious for the first time on September 18, 1994. Djuganovic, Frajeskos and Mahlas had scored for the visitors, while Nikolic had reduced for the hosts.
The most popular score in home matches with Levadeiakos is 2-1, with four appearances, while there are also three 1-0 wins. All their draws are 1-1 and there is no game so far at the home of Levadeaikos in which a goal has not been scored.
The Viotia team from March 30, 2014 until November 10, 2018 managed to score three consecutive away victories and add to them the 3-0 a.a. resulting in her best streak against the Crete team.
Panathinaikos-Panserraikos
Panathinaikos prevailed in both matches between them last season without conceding a goal. For the First Round, he won 5-0 at the Leoforos stadium and 3-0 at Serres for the second half of the championship.
In last year’s matches, seven different Panathinaikos players scored, with Sporar scoring two goals and one of them coming with an own goal by Deligiannidis.
In total, the two teams have met 25 times with Panathinaikos at home, winning 22 of them. Panserraikos has won two games with 1-0, while there is also a 1-1 draw between them.
Panathinaikos’ biggest win over Panseraikos is 7-0 in 1968-69, which came a season after the Serres side’s maiden win away to the Greens in 1967-68, where they prevailed 1- 0 thanks to Kalapoda’s goal.
Panathinaikos counts ten different victory scores against Panserraikos and the most frequent appearances are 3-1, 2-0 and 4-0 which have appeared four times.
The previous time they had met at OAKA was on December 4, 2010, with Panathinaikos scoring with Bumsong and Cisse.
Fearless-Lamia
Atromitos is undefeated in its encounters with Lamia as the home team, since in the nine matches played by the two opponents at Super League level, they have five wins and four draws.
The paradox is that in all their matches for the category, there is no away victory in any of the two seats. In total in 18 meetings there are seven home wins and eleven draws.
Two matches have ended without a goal, while their other two draws are with a score of 1-1. Lamia have found goals in five of their nine visits to the home of Atromitos, while in three of their five victories the Peristeri team scored three goals (twice 3-1 and once 3-0).
This is the third time they will meet for the 5th matchday of the championship, as happened in their first meeting (2017-18) which Atromitos won 3-0 and in the 2020-21 season (0-0).
Efthymis Koulouris is the top scorer in the nine matches with Atromitos at home for the Super League with three goals. Giorgos Manoussos follows with two, as a player of the Peristeri team (because later he also played in Lamia, without finding the net against his former team).
Athens Kallithea-AEK
The last time the two teams met in the A’ National/Super League was on March 18, 2006, when AEK won 4-1 at the Kallithea stadium. Ivics, Alexopoulos, Emerson and Kapetanos had scored the goals for Kitrinomavros, while Tsigas had scored for Athens Kallithea.
The two teams have met four times with Athens Kallithea at home and AEK has the same number of wins. In the games between them both always score, with the home team having one goal in each encounter. There are two AEK wins with 3-1, one with 4-1 and one with 2-1.
In total in the First National/Super League they have been in both venues eight times, with Athens Kallithea drawing away (1-1) in the 2003-04 season and AEK winning their other seven games.
All the matches so far that have taken place with home team Athens Kallithea have been for the Second Round of the championship and this is the first time they will meet for the first half.
Vassilis Tsiartas with three goals is the footballer who has scored the most goals in AEK’s away matches with Athens Kallithea, while Ilia Ivic has two.
