Halle Berry revealed that the Prince he once asked her out, but she rejected the rock star. The Oscar-winning actress, 58, appeared in his episode “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and mentioned that he had… a chance with Prince.

“Is it true that Michael Jackson wanted you to date”Kimmel asked her. And Berry replied: “I don’t know. However, I will say that Prince asked me out on a date.”

Prince died of a drug overdose at the age of 57 in 2016. In her interview with Kimmel, Berry explained that she attended one of his concerts where he – sort of – asked her out.

Prince was the biggest pop star of the 80’s and a genius who couldn’t handle his uniqueness and was losing control. A charismatic person who wrote music and lyrics, sang, played all the instruments himself, gathered around him talented people who surrounded him in a “purple courtyard” in Paisley Park studios and created a sound that marked the ’80s.

What to remember first from his early hits, the primal and sexy I Wanna be Your Lover, the 1999/Little Red Corvette double single which was his first hit outside America, the sweeping hits of Purple Rain which became one of the most commercial albums of all time (the soundtrack to the movie of the same name that made him a superstar). When Doves Cry, one of the finest pop songs ever written.

Controversial figure, a 1.60 giant who on stage took on enormous proportions, with rumors that some of the most beautiful women in film and music had succumbed to his charms such as Kim Basinger, Madonna, Vanity, Sheila E., Carmen Electra, Susanna Hoffs, Anna Fantastic, Sherilyn Fenn), fanatically vegetarian, deeply religious and with many obsessions.

Also, the host asked Berry who she thinks is the greatest boxer of all time and she characteristically replied: “When I was a kid, it was Muhammad Ali“, adding that she grew up with him. “But in my adult life, I’d say it’s Mike Tyson.” She said she did meet Ali during his lifetime, when he was 30 years old, before the boxing legend died aged 74 in 2016.
