Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) reportedly had bone cancer a year before her death. This is what Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, says.
In excerpts revealed by the Daily Mail from his autobiography “Unleashed”, Boris states that he already knew about the disease that had been hidden by royalty until then.
“I’ve known for a year or more [antes da morte da rainha] that she had a type of bone cancer, and her doctors were concerned that it would worsen quickly.”
According to him, the last meeting he had with the monarch took place two days before her death. “Elizabeth appeared pale and stooped and had bruises on her hands and wrists, probably from the injections and attacks. Her mind was not affected by the illness.”
It was in September 2022 that Queen Elizabeth II, who occupied the British throne for seven decades and became a symbol of the monarchy around the world, died, aged 96.
The death was confirmed by Buckingham Palace after information that she was under medical care and that the closest family had been called to Balmoral Castle, in Scotland, where the queen was spending the summer.
Two days earlier, Elizabeth swore in the new British Prime Minister, Liz Truss. According to an official statement, which called Charles king and his wife, Camilla, queen consort, she “died peacefully.”
