Find out who’s who in Cid Moreira’s family

Died this Thursday (3) at the age of 88, Cid Moreira did not have a good relationship with his children. The journalist was married four times and had three children.

The first daughter, Jaciana, died in 2020, aged 50, from pulmonary emphysema. The two living sons, Rodrigo and Roger (who was Cid’s nephew and was adopted as an adult), had conflicts against their father in court. Find out who’s who in Cid Moreira’s family:

WOMEN

Fatima Moreira

Cid’s widow, she lived with him from 2000 until the last day of the journalist’s life. She was accused by her stepsons Rodrigo and Roger of appropriating her husband’s assets, mistreating him and keeping him in private prison. Both Cid and Fátima denied the accusations. Roger and Rodrigo lost the cases.

Ulhiana Naumtchyk Moreira

She was Cid’s third wife. The two met in 1987 and lived together until 2000. In the mid-1990s, the couple adopted teenager Roger, who was her nephew.

Olga Veronica Radenzev Simões

She was Cid’s second wife, to whom he was married between 1970 and 1972. The two are parents of Rodrigo Moreira.

Nelcy Moreira

She was the journalist’s first wife and mother of Jaciara, his first daughter. Cid will be buried next to her, her daughter and grandson in Taubaté (SP).

CHILDREN AND GRANDSON

Jaciara

Firstborn of the journalist, from his marriage to Nelcy. He died in 2020, aged 50, from pulmonary emphysema.

Alexander

Son of Jaciara. He died in 1996, aged 21, from a car accident.

Rodrigo

Son of Cid with Olga Simões. In 2006, he sued his father for emotional abandonment, asking for R$1 million in compensation, but lost. In 2021, he filed a new lawsuit, asking for a judicial ban on his father and alleging that Fátima was committing embezzlement and keeping the journalist in private prison. The case was closed due to lack of evidence.

Roger Felipe

Ulhiana’s nephew, he was adopted by his aunt and Cid when he was 20 years old. He sued his father for homophobia, emotional abandonment and school dropout. In 2021 he filed an interdiction action together with Rodrigo, but the case was archived due to lack of evidence.
