Halle Berry: Her ex-husband was a sex addict

Halle Berry “nailed” her ex-husband, Eric Bennettthat he was addicted to sex. Although the 58-year-old actress did not name the 57-year-old musician specifically, she did reveal in 2002 that Benet went to rehab to deal with his sex addiction.

In the “Armchair Expert” podcast, the actress made various “spicy” revelations… “I had a husband who said he was a sex addict, but I finally have my doubts about it”she said.

The sexy Catwoman also spoke about the rumors of a steamy love scene between her and her ‘Monster’s Ball’ co-star Billy Bob Thornton. The actress married Benet in 2001 after two years of dating, but they separated in 2003 and their divorce was finalized in 2005. Berry’s first marriage was to David Justice from 1993 to 1997. Her third marriage was to Olivier Martinez and lasted from 2013 to 2016.

At the time, there was much speculation that Benet had cheated on her Berry more than once because of his sex addiction.

After their breakup, he denied being a sex addict in an interview with ABC News. “I’m not addicted to sex. I am a person who through a series of emotional events, problems, challenges, made some stupid and painful mistakes”he said meaningfully.

Berry continued to date model Gabriel Aubry from 2005 to 2010, with whom she has a daughter, Nahla, now 16. Four years after their split, the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that Berry must pay Aubry $16,000 a month in child support.

The actress then became romantically linked with French actor Olivier Martinez and married him in July 2013. That same year, Berry welcomed her son Maceo, now 10, with him. Three years later, the couple separated and finalized their divorce in 2016.
