Donald Trump Waited For Girlfriend To Leave Before Asking Slovenian Model For Her Phone Number
Melania Trump revealed that the former American president, Donald Trump, was fascinated by her as soon as he saw her, and while he was escorting a blonde lady to a New York Fashion Week party in 1998, he “did” her with light jumps and went to ask for her phone number.
It was the first time the two had met, but it probably wasn’t love at first sight. At least on the part of the former First Lady of the United States. Then the 28-year-old Melania – with perfect proportions and a model girl– refused to give the soft-spoken tycoon her number, but agreed to take his business card after telling him about her family in Slovenia.

She admits she felt “giddy with joy” after they first met at Manhattan’s trendy Kit Kat Club, where she recalls finding an “instant connection” with billionaire Donald Trump.
“I think he appreciated that I had knowledge and experience under my belt, maybe he saw me as someone he could have more in-depth conversations with,” writes about the reasons that led Trump to abandon his blonde partner and choose her. It is a fact that Melania “stole” the heart and mind of Donald Trump.
Melania writes that she was tired after a trip to Paris and almost didn’t go to the party with a friend, but she couldn’t resist because of her love of fashion. Trump introduced himself while still with his blonde girlfriend, saying: “Hello, I’m Donald Trump. Nice to meet you”.
“I knew he was a businessman or a celebrity, but not much else,” writes. He adds, however, that it was “a brief encounter that left a lasting impression.”
She could not immediately reach Trump as he was leaving for a photo shoot in the Caribbean, but notes: “The thought of contacting him added a sense of anticipation for the return.” When she finally called, he scolded her, saying: “Why didn’t you call earlier? I was thinking about you.” Eventually, the two met for an out-of-town trip to look at a golf club Trump was considering buying in Bedford, New York.
“He was so easy to talk to and genuinely interested in everything”he writes. And the rest, as they say, is history…
