It’s certainly been the talk of the television for the past couple of days. The big failure of the “Breakfast” show and the gratuitous report about the house of the deceased George Baldock while his friends and relatives mourned this tragedy.

Of course the whole team of “Smile again” dealt with the matter and of course the public apology that Giorgos Liagas said, taking all the responsibility for the big mistake.

“I think that as soon as he realizes his mistake, it’s very important. I think that reactions that are extreme are also condemnable, because then we enter a mode similar to the one we condemn and the one we blame. I believe that his apology was sincere, I saw him very upset”, Sissy Christidou said initially and continued:

“We remember that even in the past in a similar position that Giorgos has found himself in, the apology was never so clear, the acknowledgment of his mistake was never so straightforward. It is clear that he has understood what has happened.”

“A few days ago on his show he said that we should all put some red lines on TV. Sometimes, when we are going through a successful period, ambition is too big a trap that erodes our filter. The report stops where it says “found dead at home”. All the rest is misplaced gossip,” said Pavlos Stamatopoulos in turn, while Nikos Syrigos, much sharper, said:

“THE George Liagas he has apologized 11 more times on his behalf. It hurts all journalism and I am very sad. Soon we will be ashamed to be journalists”.
