Bruno Mars’ last show, Bruninho, at the Morumbis stadium, on Sunday night (13), included a surprise: Chitãozinho and Xororó singing “Evidências”, a big hit from the duo’s repertoire.
The American singer embraced the Brazilian artists on stage and celebrated the success of the performance.
“This Bruno Mars is an ace. He didn’t need anything else, but he still took Chitãozinho and Xororó to close the performances in São Paulo with a flourish. I was moved. The entire Morumbi singing ‘Evidências’ was so beautiful”, praised the presenter Astrid Fontenelle.
In September last year, at The Town, Bruno Mars’ band played the country classic in two performances — in one of them with the emotional presence of Xororó in the audience.
The song by the duo José Augusto and Paulo Sérgio Valle was recorded by Chitãozinho and Xororó on the 1990 album “Cowboy do Asfalto”.
According to a study carried out by KWC Brasil, the organization that promotes the World Karaoke Championship, “Evidências” is sung, on average, 5.2 times per night — to arrive at this data, the organization consulted around two thousand karaoke houses in all over Brazil.
On Wednesday (9) the star’s guest was Thiaguinho. He sang “Cheia de Manias”, by Raça Negra, also a very popular song at parties, barbecues and karaoke.
Bruno Mars will perform in Rio de Janeiro this week. During this visit to the country, his schedule has 14 presentations, between São Paulo, Rio, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Brasília.
