The father of the unfortunate 19-year-old Yannis was the one who informed the prosecuting authorities on Saturday, October 13 and denounced the illegal certification
A padlock entered an amusement park of the Grevena trade fair that operated with a license from the local municipality, and the licensing file includes a document certifying the amusement park’s games from the company, whose activity was suspended and finally its license was revoked, due to its involvement in the case of the death of the 19-year-old at the amusement park, in Pefkohori, Halkidiki.
According to ERT, the father of 19-year-old Yiannis, Giorgos Kampailis, was the one who initiated the procedures, informed the prosecuting authorities on Saturday, October 13 and denounced the illegal certification of the establishment.
The prosecutor was immediately informed by the police in the evening and finally the municipality proceeded with the decision to close the amusement park.
In fact, the prosecuting authorities in the first information they received from the municipality was that the company could not certify games from October 10 and that is why the municipality proceeded with the licensing decision. On the other hand, the municipality stated that the services of the Ministry of Development did not inform anyone either of the suspension of operation or ultimately of the revocation of the certification body.
In the field of judicial developments, Mr. Kabailis’ lawyers are going to Grevena today, in order to investigate any criminal responsibilities of the mayor regarding how he licensed the particular amusement park.
Also, this week, other people involved are expected to be summoned to the main investigation, while the indictment will also be upgraded regarding those responsible in the local government.
