Minas Gerais fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos, known as Guilherme Bomb, was found dead in his home in Chicago, United States, in the early hours of Tuesday (15). The cause of death has not yet been released, and police are investigating.
Bomba was 38 years old and leaves behind a 1-year-old daughter, the result of her relationship with a model. The athlete became known worldwide between 2016 and 2017 when he dated singer Demi Lovato for a few months.
Bomba was a fanatical Cruzeiro fan and used to post images of football, sports and his daughter on his social networks, where he had just over 50 thousand followers.
The Brazilian had already been world champion in jiu-jitsu, a sport in which he had a black belt. He taught in the United States, where he moved in 2014, shortly after participating in the program The Ultimate Fighter Brasil (Globo).
For a while, he was a UFC fighter, but then ended up signed by Bellator.
Bomba’s uncle, Walter Vasconcelos mourned his death on social media. “Sadness knocks on our door today with your departure, my nephew and godson. May God receive you in his kindness. Speechless,” he wrote.
