THE Study of Ilias became known to the general public from the huge and long-lasting success “To Soi Sou” and it seems that he has the bone of a bat or an excellent criterion when choosing who to say yes to since their subsequent works were also successful. “Our best years”, “Julia’s Consul” and this year “Witch – Flaming Heart”.

“For me, ‘Consulate’ was a great blessing, because I reintroduced myself to the public with something completely different from what I’ve been used to for ten years, with ‘Soi Sou’ and ‘Our Best Years.’ I consider it a success… which I reap for several reasons. It’s not personal, it’s a matter of luck, it’s a matter of collaboration, it’s a matter of production, it’s a matter of trust.

To entrust such a role to an actor who has done eight consecutive seasons of comedy is a bit of a risk. I mean, really, and that was a stepping stone for today. In other words, I think that they would hardly have given me this role if I had not done the Consulship” he declares speaking to Andreas Theodorou in the published Sozi.

-Are you one of the actors who are in the process of watching the ratings, that is, after the premiere will you see them?

“You’re talking to the number one, little numbers… I find it incredibly interesting and I love analyzing the ratings. I like to see the trend of the audience on twitter and everywhere. I’m having a lot of fun with it.”

-See the comments? Where will you stand more on the positives or the negatives?

“I see everything and I will tell you that with the same moderation that I accept the positive comments and the Oscars that Twitter “hands out”, with the same caution I also accept the negative comments. I think that as a people and as a temperament we like to be extreme. To deify and blast everything we see next to us. So I don’t take much in cash.

I like to see and analyze them, but neither the positives nor the negatives affect me. I think we just do a job that we have our ups and downs and sometimes we exist in nice jobs and other times in less nice ones. We have to accept it and move on. We’re not George Clooney or anything.”

-You stated that you and your wife visited a marriage counselor and he helped you…

“Of course, I have never had a taboo and it is good that there is no taboo in matters of either mental or physical health. It is important to encourage people who need help to dare to do so. Men especially have a taboo. It’s easier to be seduced by our partner than to go alone. As it happened to me. So I, who dared to go to a marriage counselor, benefited and it’s good that others do too.”

-As a dad what are your concerns at a time when we see “monsters” happening around us?

“The truth is that we now see everything. So as a father of a teenage daughter I am terrified for hours and hours. You want in one way to present reality as it is without scaring the child, but on the other hand you have to let him understand how harsh the situation around him is. We are going through difficult times and I think we need to find ways to communicate with our children.

A year ago I had difficulty entering my daughter’s environment, now I have found a way to enter with a tenderness, a naturalness and she accepts it. To be able to supervise remotely. This is a lifesaver”

-Do you have any advice that you want your daughter to keep as a talisman?

“To trust her instinct and the criterion we have given her. I think every family does their best and lets their children go out into the outside world freely. Without stressing and scaring the children, I think they have the criterion to understand what they should do and what not”.
