It’s not new that Xuxa and Jojo Todynho have been exchanging barbs on social media. This Tuesday (22), however, the champion of A Fazenda 12 vented her anger against the queen of the little ones.
“I hadn’t realized that Mrs. Xuxa had been talking about me. I wanted her to answer me why I’m unnecessary?”, said Jojo in a video on social media. “It is necessary to be the one who spat in her face,” he said.
“I always respected her. As a fan, I always applauded her”, continued the singer. “So, Xuxa, don’t talk about me, you didn’t wear my nail slippers. You’re privileged, you didn’t go through what I went through. Did you eat fried angu? Did you live without having anything to eat for a day? Of course not, you She’s white. I can be whatever queen I am, I won’t let you disrespect me”, she concluded.
Jojo’s anger originated from a comment written by Xuxa on Instagram a few weeks ago. “Wow… disappointment has a name”, wrote the presenter in a video published by Jojo. In the video, Jojo announced that he would delete his 2018 song “Arrasou, Viado” from the platforms.
In the video for “Arrasou, Viado”, still available on YouTube, Jojo appears dressed in a rainbow swimsuit dancing among LGBTQIA+ personalities, such as Thammy Miranda, Léo Áquila, Carol Marra and David Brazil. In recent months, however, the funk singer has been distancing herself from the community, ever since she posed alongside Michelle Bolsonaro and declared herself “a right-wing black woman”.
After being criticized, she decided to delete the song. “At no time did I want to take advantage of the community, the flag, I never took advantage of anyone,” she said at the time. “I just asked for respect, because we all deserve respect. No one is forced to like anyone, but respect is everyone’s duty. And that’s why I’m going to ask for suspension of the video for ‘Arrasou, Viado‘ and remove it from digital platforms”, he declared.
