THE Liam Neeson informed about the future of his acting career acknowledging that he “has to stop at some stage”.

The Irish actor, who made his screen debut in the 1978 biblical film Pilgrim’s Progress, has since appeared in more than a hundred films and TV series during his multi-year career.

Known for his work in a variety of films, including the 2003 romantic comedy ‘Love Actually’ and the Oscar-winning drama ‘Schindler’s List’, Neeson has become an action hero in recent years, starring in ‘Taken’ (2008) and ‘The Marksman’ (2021).

“I’m 72 years old” the actor told People in a new interview. “This has to stop at some point” he added.

Liam Neeson himself appears in the fight scenes. However, he relies on longtime partner Mark Vanselow to pull off some of his more daring stunts.

Acknowledging that “you can’t fool the audience,” he said, “I don’t want Mark fighting for me in the fight scenes.” Although he hasn’t officially announced his retirement from acting, he has revealed that he is thinking of ending action films in 2025.

“Maybe late next year”he said. Until then, Liam Neeson fans need not worry as the ‘Star Wars’ actor currently has several projects in the works.

For his next film, “Absolution”once again teamed up with Hans Peter Molan. The new crime thriller follows a gangster (Neeson) as he tries to reconnect with his estranged children and right the wrongs of the past.

Liam Neeson will also star in The Naked Gun, a reboot of the classic spoof franchise, and Cold Storage, both due out next year.
