Diagnosed with lymphatic cancer, Eduardo Suplicy (PT-SP) will receive a lot of love and affection from his family in the coming months. This is what his firstborn son, singer Supla, 58, promises.

“Now it’s time to give him all the love and affection”, said the musician, who did not want to elaborate on the subject and asked that fans and the press respect the family’s moment. “I would appreciate it if you could send good vibes and positivity,” he said. “He’s reacting well, but it’s not easy, it’s a difficult thing.”

Suplicy, 83, is a state representative. In July, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects cells in the lymphatic system, a vital part of the immune system.

Considered a rare and aggressive disease, it was detected early, which gives good prospects for treatment for PT patients. Lymphoma is being treated with immunochemotherapy, which combines traditional intravenous medications with others that stimulate the body’s defense system to attack cancer cells.

He has already undergone four sessions, and has led his life at a normal pace — which, in his case, is intense. He goes to sessions at the Legislative Assembly, participates in public events and, this month, he recorded videos for social media in which he asked for votes for mayoral candidates.
