Investigations into the death of the former Globo child actor advance after João Rebello was found dead in the car, victim of gunshots, in Trancoso, Bahia.

The state Civil Police says in a note sent to the F5 that has already identified a suspect and that the musician had been killed by mistake. Authorities are looking for images close to the scene of the murder that could help solve the case.

“There is also the impossibility of any involvement of the victim in criminal activities. All legal measures are being adopted. Hearings and investigations are underway.”

Rebello’s mother stated in a letter published on social media that he was confused by incompetent criminals when going to the market.

“Today eternal sadness settled in my heart. Today marks 5 years since my brother died and today I’m going to bury my son! What happened? The family’s smile suddenly turned to tears!”

João was the nephew of director Jorge Fernando (1955-2019) and currently worked as a music producer and music video DJ and used the name Vunje.

In “Cambalacho”, lived Maneco, one of Naná’s (Fernanda Montenegro) adopted children. He has also worked with Tony Ramos, another big name in dramaturgy, in “Bebê a Bordo”.
