Flávia Alessandra was announced this Tuesday (29) as the muse of the Acadêmicos do Salgueiro samba school. Cristina’s interpreter in yet another rerun of the soap opera “Alma Gêmea”, on Globo, will make her debut on Marquês de Sapucaí at Carnival 2025, in Rio. “I just turned 50 and I’m going to debut on the avenue. This is very challenging, meaningful and liberating”, she commented. The actress, who was born in Tijuca, a neighborhood of the traditional samba school in the north of Rio, also said she was proud to be an example for other women to become muses, regardless of their age. “I want it to serve as an example for women in their 50s and 60s. I want them to know that they can do anything and that yes, the best moment in life can be now,” she added.
Flávia will wear a costume that represents the bandit Maria Bonita, an icon of Brazilian history in the fight against coronelismo. Salgueiro will take to Marquês de Sapucaí the plot “Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado”, developed by carnival artist Jorge Silveira and written by plot artist Igor Ricardo. The group will present Brazil’s religious cultures and Afro-Brazilian roots. “I’m honored to debut in Sapucaí with a school that I’ve always admired, Tijucana, from the neighborhood where I was born and raised. This year’s plot is very beautiful and I’m thrilled! May it be the first of many carnivals”, commented Flávia Alessandra. |
