‘I’m not going to run from the guy anymore’, says former Malhação heartthrob about to open a bar

Former Malhação heartthrob, Daniel Erthal, 42, has shared his new routine with fans. A year after appearing selling beer on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, he is about to stop being a street vendor and become a businessman. The actor has been working on building a bar that he intends to open in Botafogo, in the south of Rio, before the end of November.

The race against time has a special reason. A Botafogo fan, he wants his business to be open before the Libertadores final against Atlético Mineiro, in Buenos Aires. Argentina. “Becoming an entrepreneur isn’t easy, but at least I won’t be running around anymore”, says Daniel, who, in addition to acting in Globo productions, also worked at Record.

The actor, who had been selling beer at the door of the Nilton Santos Stadium, headquarters of the black and white team, after losing his license from City Hall to work as a street vendor on the waterfront, told the newspaper Extra that he is investing around R$100,000 in the south zone to open his bar, Birosca Ilha da Sede. Money he managed to receive on social media in recent months.

“My engagement is great, and this caught the attention of brands. So, today I do a lot of adverts. If it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t be able to make a living from this work, much less have a bar. I became an influencer […] I receive a lot of messages from people who want to have a business, become their own boss. And my story ended up becoming a successful case”, he said. Erthal has 481 thousand followers on Instagram alone.
