On the same day that she announced her pregnancy with her first child, singer Lexa, 29, got a huge shock after leaving SBT, in São Paulo, where she participated in recordings this Thursday (31).
The vehicle in which the artist was with advisors and family members was surrounded by armed men in an alleged robbery attempt.
“We had a scare yesterday,” she said early this Friday morning (1). “We were leaving SBT and were approached by criminals who stopped the van, told everyone to stay inside and said ‘you lost it, you lost it’. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
Lexa said she was nervous about the pregnancy and prayed with her hand on her belly. After the approach, the van driver drove the wrong way to escape the criminals.
“It was all very fast, crazy. But everything went well, everyone is fine,” he said.
The singer’s mother, Darlin Ferrattry, said that her mother — Lexa’s grandmother — was also in the vehicle.
“Thank you, my God, for protecting my mother and daughter on this terrible night,” she wrote on social media.
Earlier, the singer and her boyfriend Ricardo Vianna, 32, announced the pregnancy in a post on social media.
In a video, Lexa showed moments such as the discovery of her pregnancy, ultrasound exams and the reaction of family members to the news.
