The Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, in an interview she gave to the radio station “SKAI 100.3” and the journalist, Pavlos Tsima, pointed out that the draft law “Establishment of a Higher School of Performing Arts, Framework for the Operation of Higher Schools of Art Education and Music Educational Institutions”, which she presented in the Council of Ministers with the Minister of Education, Kyriakos Pierrakakis and the Minister of the Interior, Thodoris Livanio, is “an essential reform that the artistic world, and the Ministry of Culture, have been asking for for decades”.

“It is a legislative proposal that should unite and not divide. It is a very big intersection and a very positive step for Modern Culture. We want to give a better and more positive treatment, theoretically and essentially, to the artistic world”, underlined the minister.

“It is a great achievement in the area of ​​Culture that in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior, Th. Livanios and V. Charalambogianni, with the decisive assistance obviously of the Ministry of Education, a branch of artistic education is being established. Artists have been asking for it for decades. Today we say yes, the artistic world is a distinct entity, which we must manage precisely as a distinct entity and this is established through artistic education.”
