After Timothée Chalamet was the subject of a look-alike contest (which resulted in confusion), it was the turn of those who looked like Paul Mescal to compete for who most resembled the actor.
The competition took place in Dublin, Ireland, on Thursday (7), and, more calmly, had six competitors. The winner was Jack Wall O’Reilly, who wore clothes similar to the actor’s: shorts that expose his thighs, which became popular with the actor, headphones and a sweatshirt.
To further win over the audience and win the prize of 20 euros (R$123 reais), he recited a line by Mescal in “Normal People”, which received warm applause from the crowd, according to the British newspaper The Guardian.
“I think it’s good to have events like these because people are going through hard times. I don’t think anyone would have gone to Timothée Chalamet’s pageant if we weren’t all a little unhappy.”
One of the event organizers told the reporter that Mescal represents Ireland very well. “It’s not just potatoes and beer, it’s also short shorts and strength,” said Marcus O’Laoire.
A Harry Styles lookalike competition is scheduled to take place in London on Saturday (9).
