Brazilian artists João Gomes and MC Cabelinho were present at the Latin Grammys this Thursday (14) and, shortly after the event, they complained about the troubles they experienced on the red carpet.
In videos published in João Gomes’ stories, the two are in a car and talk about the red carpet which “was sad”, according to the forró and piseiro singer. “No coffee, no water, just queue, queue, queue”, he says.
MC Cabelinho echoes the complaints. “Two hours in line, we didn’t drink water, we didn’t drink coffee, I didn’t piss, I’m almost pissing my pants [sic]. And I’ll tell you more: we got there to take a photo on the red carpet, the paparazzi had already left. They only had two cameras for me”, says the singer.
“Conquering the world is very difficult. You have to go slowly, you have to be patient. Because, partner, outside of Brazil, we are struggling”, says Cabelinho. “The guys didn’t give us any water.”
Afterwards, João Gomes added: “regardless of the result, I’m happy. It’s not easy, we have to continue, always moving forward. See you next year. With faith in God.”
The two were nominated for the award, but left without trophies.
The duo also appears in a video circulating on social media. They interrupted an interview with Luísa Sonza on the red carpet and said she skipped the line to get in. MC Cabelinho states that they spent more than an hour in line, while the singer arrived and entered in five minutes.
“We give it our Brazilian way”, replies Sonza. “And I pulled you along,” she defends.
