Headlining an event this weekend in Rio, Anitta proved once again that her relationship with her fans is direct and straightforward. The singer, nominated for a Grammy in the category of best Latin pop album with “Funk Generation” and losing, caught the attention of a follower who displayed a poster in the middle of the audience with the following message: “Anitta is the biggest funkstart in the world”.
The performer of “Envolver”, “Vai Malandra” and “Me Gusta” thanked her admirer for his affection, but asked him to lower the poster, as it was obstructing the view of other people in the audience. “What a delight, what a wonderful show, guys! Thank you very much for this poster. Now you can lower it, because the people in the back can’t watch the show”, said Anitta.
The video, of course, went viral on the web. Many internet users found the situation funny. “Anitta sees everything that happens in the audience,” commented a fan. “She has a friendly relationship with her followers, and everyone understands her good humor,” added another admirer.
On the other hand, some people criticized her. “Does it need to be rude?” complained a third. A fourth insinuated: “Every now and then celebrities let a little bit of their true personality slip. Stupid.”
