Gil do Vigor says he would not enter the BBB again: ‘Watching with another vision’

by

Gilberto Nogueira, better known as Gil do Vigor, stated that he would not return to Big Brother Brasil (Globo) if he were currently invited. That’s because the economist, who became famous at BBB 21, noticed the suffering of the participants’ families outside the house.

“Before this Big Brother started [BBB 22], I said I would enter”, he told in an interview with the podcast PodPah on Thursday (10). “I love and will be in love forever. However, today I am watching with another vision.”

“My family was attacked a lot,” he said. “My mother was threatened with death. A black car pulled up in front of my house and they said ‘I’m here in front, I’m going to kill you’ during my cancellation.”

He said that he already knew about this information, but he only realized the dimension of it when he saw the new edition. “As I was on the show, I didn’t see it, so my family told it and it sounded really weird,” he comments. “But today, following social media and seeing it again, seeing families having to speak up and such, I said: ‘Damn, really…’.”

“I remember what my family went through and I say, ‘No, they don’t deserve it,'” he says. “For me, I really went in, because you know I’m crazy. But today I think about my family. They’ve been through this and I don’t think they deserve to go through it again.”

The “King of the Dogs” said he would only consider changing his position if people started watching the show more lightly. “People have problems, it’s a very serious business,” he said. “If the time comes when fans separate the game from real life, judge the game on the basis of the game, not attack the family, do those things…”

“For the family it’s terrifying,” he concluded. “My mom gave an interview saying it was my dream and her nightmare.”
