Speaking to ERT, the jeweler Giorgos Tsagarakis, in whose gallery the jewels of the great actress are located, said that these “are pieces of the history of art and culture and of her personal history. We’ve found some really cool footage of her wearing some of this jewelry. Both in movies and in her personal life.”
He did not give more details as he clarified “I am not allowed to announce the name of the predecessors for reasons of personal data, but yes, nevertheless I declare to you that they come from her close family environment. The authenticity is also proven by the photographic material we have gathered.”
It is noted that the husband of the late actress, Alexandros Lykourezos, when asked about this, stated that if “the jewels are of life, obviously Martha Koutoumanos’ daughter may have given them”.
One of the exhibits to be presented is of considerable value. “A pair of drop-cut brilliants and emeralds earrings, approximately 25 carats and over 10 carats of brilliants. There are 9 jewels in total, we are sharing the legacy of Zoi Laskaris with the public”, said Mr. Tsagarakis.
