Eugenia Dimitropoulou, who has adopted Eva, is a creature who helped me a lot. From where I was thinking how all the procedures will be done, now I have this little angel in my house. Anyone who wants to do it can do it.

We went through discussions, we went through a committee, things are not simple. I went to Sierra Leone alone. I had seen his photo and went to see him in person. When I saw him, I went crazy and went crazy with all the kids. I went to see him the second time and was lucky that the decision was immediate, so I went back with the child.

The baby understands what is happening. I’m three years old so I think he remembers everything. When I saw him “I said he is my son” I sent him to Manos and told him he is your son. When I went to Africa he came into my arms immediately. The hard part was when I left the first time and had to leave him behind. He called me mom from the first moment. We speak English but now because Greek is also spoken at his school, he has started to learn. We came to Greece in July. The only problem we’ve had so far has to do with sleep. He doesn’t want to part with his toys and his mom. My psychologist helps me a lot. If I need to talk to a child psychologist, I will. I have an angel at home now. I know we’re going to go through different phases, but that’s what happens with all kids.”
