Jojo Todynho’s declared support for Bolsonarism made the influencer the target of criticism on social media, including from Xuxa.
The singer, who defines herself as a right-wing black woman, even stated that she would try a political career in the next elections, in 2026. Now, however, she has backtracked and said that the statement was made in a moment of fury.
“The country is very divided. Everything I say, people want to take it out of context to fit their narrative. I think I don’t have much peace anymore,” he said. “I don’t want to lose the little peace I have to fight for a nation that I won’t have value for. It seems like I’m a fugitive from justice.”
In Rio de Janeiro’s municipal elections, the singer said she would vote for Alexandre Ramagem, from PL, during a recording alongside Michelle Bolsonaro. After the repercussion, Jojo said that he would remove the song “Arrasou, viado”, created in honor of the LGBTQIA community, from music platforms.
In the interview with journalist Leo Dias, she also stated that she is attacked by the bubble when she exchanges nothing. “I made more than 40 records of attacks on the networks of people who insulted me on the networks.”
