“It is a blessed work, a great work. It was the best thing that could have happened to me in my entire theatrical career” he said speaking to Evana Zoumuroglou and the Buongiorno show.

-You recently turned 90. How do you feel?

“I feel like a person who has no age. I don’t feel like I’m that much and I often laugh at myself because I’m doing more than I can and I can’t believe it…”

-You reward yourself.

“In the mirror? Let me sit and say, George, you are talented. Of course not. I’m glad I can communicate with people. That to me is the reward. And the money goes away and everything. What remains is the love of the world”

-Is it true that you wanted him to become an electrician and not an actor?

“I was 16, 17 years old and I didn’t know what was happening to me. And the strange thing was that I was in a family of actors and not extras and I didn’t pretend to want to be something. And a phrase from my mother arrived at the door. A question if I want to be an actor and I answered yes”

– Were you rejected in the National exam?

“Yes. I’ve been told I’m untalented. It was the theater of the stomp, they didn’t speak naturally and they shot me”

-What was the most difficult moment of your life when you had to act?

“When my mother left. They came and told me in the dressing room and I had to go out and play and my mother was everything to me.”

-You grew up without your father, did that affect you?

“Not at all. My mother completed everything for me. Her love was so great that I didn’t even think about my father”

-Have your relations with your father been restored?

-Did your parents get married when you were 22?

“I was above. It was very funny how it happened. My mother wanted this marriage to take place because she considered it a sin that I was an illegitimate child.
